DANCE enthusiasts will be converging on the Forum at Malvern Theatres for World Dance Week later this month.

The week - October 28 to November 1 - coincides with half-term and features a series of workshops including a wide variety of dance from around the globe.

On Monday, October 28, from 2pm to 4pm, it's African dance with Norman "Rubba" Stephenson. Following the hugely successful Mission Black Dance Roadshow, Rubba returns to teach traditional and contemporary African dancing styles.

The next day, it's Bollywood with Honey Kalaria, again from 2pm to 4pm. Star of stage and screen, Honey returns with her unique fusion of Bollywood and bhangra styles. Following the release of her bestselling video, Honey Kalaria's Bollywood Workout, this promises to be a great experience.

On Wednesday, October 30, the Rock Dance Company will be holding a workshop in American jazz and swing, from 11am to 1pm.

Also on the same day, Mauricio, from Birmingham-based dance company Latinmotion, will be holding a salsa class, from 2pm to 4pm.

The last workshop in the series is on Thursday, October 31, when Ana Garcia, star of the Alma Company, introduces the passionate, sumptuous and flamboyant world of flamenco.

There will be a beginners' under-16 class (3.30-5pm), beginners' 16-plus class (5.30-7pm) and improvers' class (7.30-9pm).

All are £10 (except beginners' under-16 flamenco at £5). If you book two £10 workshops, you can get a third at half-price.

The week culminates in a stunning performance from Alma, one of the country's leading flamenco companies, at 7.45pm on Friday, November 1.

Tickets are £15 and £12.50, available from the box office on 01684 892277.
