THE Harvest Festival will be held on Sunday at St Peter's Church at 5pm. Everyone will be welcome at this celebration to give thanks for all that the earth provides. There will be a harvest tea in the village hall following the service.

The Upton Deanery Synod Appeal 'Who Cares' on behalf of the Anajali School for 3-13 year olds in the slums of Nairobi was launched in May this year with the aim of raising £5,000. This target has already been reached and the aim now is to raise as much money as possible before the appeal closes in April, 2003. For this cause an International Evening is to be held at Bushley Village Hall on October 29 when each of the five benefices in the Deanery will be presenting the food and wine and perhaps the music of a different country. Do come along and support this cause and enjoy yourself.

The annual Halloween Dance will be held on November 1 at the village hall in aid of hall funds. Dancing to Geoff George. Tickets £7 each to include supper available from Betty Greenwood or John Wilkes.
