WE would like, through your columns, to voice our concern's at the proposed closure of the road through Wyre.
We are very disappointed with our local parish council, the majority voting to close the road, most of them do not live on the main road, so it will not effect them. Most of our neighbours want the road to stay open. We travel towards Evesham every day to work, so closure means extra journey's back through the village and down the bypass twice a day.
Surely a compromise could be found to satisfy everyone concerned in this village and neighbouring villages, not just a selfish few in Wyre.
