A CARNIVAL queen will be celebrating Christmas in an Asian kingdom with 30,000 young people from around the world.
Laura Webb, of Stokesay Close, Kidderminster, who is also a member of the 2nd Broadwaters and Wolverley Guides, will take part in the 20th World Scout Jamboree in Thailand.
The 15-year-old is due to travel in December to the naval base Sattahip for the three-week camp.
The Wolverley Carnival Queen is one of only 18 Guides who have been selected to represent the Midlands region of the Guide Association.
Laura raised £2,500 through donations and events, which included a sponsored six-hour silence, treasure hunt and skittles evening.
