POLICE are trying to establish how a Kidderminster man suffered serious head injuries after a night out drinking at a town pub.
The man, in his mid-30s, had been drinking with friends at the Watermill in Park Lane on Tuesday night but left at about 12.30am to walk home on his own.
A couple of hours later his friends went to his home in Dunclent Crescent, and found him seriously injured in his living room.
"The man has not yet been able to tell us how he came by these injuries," said Det Sgt Dave Norwood, of Kidderminster Police.
It is not known if he was attacked in his home or outside it, or if he came by his injuries accidentally, he added.
The man was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital by ambulance in a "dazed" condition.
