UP to a dozen jobs are set to be created at a leading Kidderminster carpet firm after a takeover of an Irish company.
Victoria Carpets has bought out Cork-based Munster Carpets for £400,000.
Munster makes Wilton contract carpets for the UK and Irish markets.
Its manufacturing base will be transferred to Kidderminster as part of the deal.
Victoria group managing director Alan Bullock said: "Whilst we already have a good residential market in Ireland, the acquisition of the Munster brand will significantly strengthen our presence in the contracts market in Ireland and within the UK.
"At the same time it considerably enhances the range of products we can market and sell to each of our customer bases."
In the last financial year Munster had sales of £3.5 million and pre-tax profits of £101,000.
