NOMINATIONS for the prestigious Princess Royal Award, which recognises outstanding achievement for the benefit of the British dairy industry, close on Friday, November 8.

The annual award, run by the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers, is open to people working in any sector of the dairy industry, and in any capacity, including farming, research, education, consultancy, manufacture, marketing and sales.

RABDF chief executive Nick Everington said: "Our industry is full of dedicated and talented people, and the Princess Royal Award provides us with an opportunity to acknowledge those who, as individuals or leaders of a team, have made an exceptional contribution for the benefit of others."

The winner will collect a certificate signed by The Princess Royal and an engraved medal, together with an invitation to be guest of honour at he annual Dairy Farming Conference at Malvern on March 4 and 5, 2003.
