Littleton 4, Enville 0

LITTLETON turned in one of their best performances of the season in Saturday's one-sided game.

Apart from free-kicks around the box and the odd corner Lee Rogers in Littleton's goal had a quiet afternoon.

The pattern for the game was set from the start with Littleton having the bulk of the play. Their first chance came after ten minutes but Adie Wilde shot straight at the keeper.

This was quickly followed by a lovely move which saw Littleton take the lead. Mark Gledhill threaded a pass for Perry Beddoes to run on to and his precise cross was met perfectly by Darren Reeves for his ninth goal of the season in only ten games.

It was soon 2-0 and again Gledhill was involved. His free-kick into the area dropped kindly at the feet of Matt Cotton who drove in a powerful half volley.

Robert Hands created the next chance sending over a perfect centre that Chris Bate volleyed marginally over the bar.

The second half gave no respite to Enville with Reeves controlling the midfield. His cross was met by Beddoes on the run, but the shot was scrambled clear for a corner.

On the hour another Reeves centre was met by a Billy Hiden volley which gave the keeper no chance.

The scoring was wrapped up 15 minutes from time when Wilde chipped the ball over the keeper in great style. The game was sponsored by the Ivy Inn, North Littleton.
