THE mystery loss of Kidderminster Harriers giant Abdou Sall is set to continue as they look to extend their record nine-match unbeaten Division Three run.

Sall made a fine impact in his first Harriers season but went down with an ankle injury after four games of the current campaign.

The 21-year-old, in the final year of his contract, went to Lilleshall to investigate the problem in the latest of a series of tests and scans.

But boss Ian Britton confirmed the results had revealed little yet the defender had not declared himself fit to play.

He said: "They are basically saying the same as Jim Conway. It's been disappointing.

"But people have come in, done their jobs and he will find it difficult to come back in now."

Harriers are also without the banned Drewe Broughton and defender Mark Clyde for Saturday's home game with Macclesfield.

Britton wants to discuss extending the loans of Clyde, on Northern Ireland U-21s duty, and John Melligan with Wolverhampton boss Dave Jones tomorrow.

Ian Foster is favourite to replace Broughton, while midfielder Sean Parrish began his comeback from a hamstring injury on Tuesday.

Parrish played in a 4-2 friendly defeat at Walsall with Daire Doyle and teenager Paul Oakey scoring.

Harriers aim to build on Saturday's 1-0 win over Hull and ex-boss Jan Molby who was given an expected frosty reception from fans.

Britton added: "There was only one team in it and we could have won by three or four. Jan said as much, he was complimentary about us and rightly so."

Meanwhile, more than 4,000 fans are expected at Aggborough tonight to watch England U-19s play Yugoslavia (7.45pm).
