GOLF: Cleobury Mortimer ladies claimed two top prizes in the club's popular Open AM/AM.
More than 180 ladies in teams of four took part but the winning team on 80 points was Cleobury's Kim Simm, Helen Watson and Sylvia Tudor-Hughes.
They were joined by Sheena Aitken, the lady captain of Blackwell.
Cleobury's Sue Jarman, Simm, Linda Brazier and Jan Peutherer took first prize at the Builth Wells Open AM/AM on 114 points.
Tracey Round was the winner of the Bunny Cup with 36 points.
At the annual meeting, Peutherer was elected lady captain and Jarman was made vice-chairman and competitions secretary.
Janet Plunkett will be secretary and Simm is to act as handicap secretary.
September Medal Silver Division: Gail Loftus 90 gross 15 handicap 75 nett; Bronze Div One: Brazier 97-26-71; Div Two: Norma Bufton 99-34-64.
Stableford Silver Div: Loftus 37 points 15 handicap; Bronze Div One: Julie Currie 41-29; Div Two: Linda Pearce 32-34.
