A COLLECTION of paintings showing the beauty of the swan is at a Worcester art gallery.
Valerie Briggs' work is on display at Bevere Vivis Gallery and Picture Framers to raise funds for Wychbold Swan Rescue.
Ms Briggs lives in Worcester and takes inspiration from the large number of mute swans on the River Severn.
There she has ample opportunity to watch, study, sketch and photograph the birds in great detail.
Her exhibition is a collection of work in watercolours, pastels and graphite.
A percentage of any sales of the pictures will go towards Wychbold Swan Rescue, a voluntary organisation.
"The art is wonderful," said Jan Harrigan, who runs the centre.
"If anybody can paint swans it's her because she knows them.
The centre is looking after 140 swans rescued for a variety of reasons.
The pictures will be on show until Saturday, October 26.
Bevere Vivis Gallery and Picture Framers, just off the Ombersley Road, is open from 10.30am to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday.
Admission to the gallery is free.
