WASPS, maggots and sticky sap are just some of the problems created by overgrown trees in a Droitwich Spa road.

Frustrated resident Karen Bradley is calling for the Lime trees in Vines Lane to be cut back.

The 31-year-old mum said sap from the trees covers cars and damages paint work. She claims the tree's sap encourages huge swarms of wasps and says maggots frequently fall from the leaves.

Wychavon Highways Partnership Unit tackled some of the branches last week and admitted sap is a problem at this time of year.
