A SOLID second half display from Bromsgrove RFC U16s handed them a 26-7 home victory over Walsall.
Walsall dominated the territorial battle but Bromsgrove defended resolutely and it was only in the last play of the first half that Walsall drove over for the converted try.
After the restart, Bromsgrove upped their tempo to keep the visitors in their own 22. The hosts linked several passes together for James Upton to side step his way over for two tries, Jean-Jaques Ellis powered over for another and in the last move of the match, winger Ollie Burt took two tacklers over the line with him for a fourth.
Martyn Hubbleday converted twice and Robin Crawford once.

Droitwich, missing key players, trailed 36-0 at the interval.
Thomas Rouse got Spa's first points before Iain Young supplied Stephan Buijnsters for the visitor's' 70-yard effort .
Adam Thomas was man of the match.
Old Sills U16s 12 Droitwich Spa U16s 12
Droitwich were evenly matched against Old Sills but there was no score at the turnaround.
The hosts took the lead with a converted penalty try before Spa scored through Matt Barnes to make it 7-5.
Following good pressure from the Droitwich pack, James Shewell went over under the posts for James Edwards to convert. Old Sills came back with a late try to square the game.

Man of the match David Edwards scored a hat-trick of tries while Nick Houlston got two.
Jack Pomroy, Mike Langston and Chris Reece also went over for tries.
Bobbie Scott-Walker kicked four conversions, Sean Storey got three and Chris War one.
Droitwich Spa U9s 25 Hereford U9s 10
James Squire burst through the Hereford defence to open the scoring, closely followed by a Matthew Williams try.
Kieran Dixon, Zoe Selvey and Dan Mara all tackled well while Oliver Price ran in a further three tries.
Man of the match was Ryan Boon.

In the second game, man of the match Oliver Price ran in another hat trick. Williams added Droitwich a fourth.
Droitwich Spa U8s 30 Hereford U8s 20
Man of the match Chris Rouse's running, supported by Alex Tonks, helped Huw Selvey to a brace of tries.
Tom Foulds' excellent tackling helped keep out a well organised Hereford side. Further tries came through Charlie Dexter.
Droitwich Spa U7s 15 Hereford U7s 10
A well deserved victory by Droitwich thanks to man of the match Scott Howell scoring three excellent tries.
Overall, a great team display with Matthew Rouse, Sam Phillps and Josh Feek all tackling well with good support play from Ethan Banger and Oliver Parkes.
William Lockett and Matthew Jones made some powerful attacking runs.
Bromsgrove U7s 10 Bredon U7s and U8s 15
Bredon started with two early tries, but Bromsgrove levelled with scores from Alex Russell and Ed Beech.
Bredon then took advantage of the departure of Bromsgrove captain Josh Watkins to snatch the winning try.

In the second game, Bredon again took an early lead, and it took a brilliant try saving tackle by Jonathan Goodall to stop them from scoring again.
Joe Taylor went over in the corner for Bromsgrove after the break and he equalised late on after Bredon had gone back into the lead.
