Malvern Town won 3-2 at Bromyard Town in a West Midlands League Premier Division derby last night.

During a fast and furious first half Malvern always held the upper hand, and it was Dean Roberts, who turned in the game's outstanding performance, who put Malvern two up inside the first 30 minutes.

But with Malvern looking well in control, Luke Willetts raised Bromyard's hopes when he pulled a goal back on the stroke of half time.

The start of the second period saw the home side come more into the picture, but Malvern once again began to wrestle back the ascendancy, and when Darren Wade secured their third goal midway through the second half, victory looked assured.

But Bromyard had other ideas and an 80th minute goalmouth scramble saw the ball end up in the Malvern net through Gordon Beauchamp.

However, despite some pressure from the home side, Malvern held on for victory.
