WE have been asked to point out that yesterday's Evening News story "Nurse's assault on mentally disabled patients", which appeared on pages 1 and 2, contained minor errors.
We are happy to correct the spelling of the names of Sharron Burnett and Carole Roberts, who appeared as witnesses at the Nursing and Midwifery Council's professional conduct committee on Monday.
We would also add that Mrs Burnett was employed as a care assistant at the Worcester Christian Nursing Home at the time of the incidents involving male nurse Hugh Tangye, and was not a medical colleague.
Mr Tangye was struck off for assaulting mentally-ill patients at the London Road establishment.
