AN 83-YEAR-OLD widower died after being hit by a car.
George Bickley was struck while crossing Stourbridge Road, in Kidderminster, close to the Larkhill Junction.
Yesterday's inquest in Stourport-on-Severn heard how Mr Bickley had been taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital following the accident, which happened on Thursday, October 3.
The retired carpet worker, from Kingsford Lane, Wolverley, died the next day.
The cause of death was given as shock and haemorrhaging due to multiple injuries.
Worcestershire Coroner Victor Round adjourned the inquest for three months to wait for police traffic reports.
