A WAR with Iraq seems likely. Tony Blair, backed by Iain Duncan Smith, and George Bush apparently consider that there is no alternative.
There is no doubt that Saddam Hussein is a heinous character. Evidently he has biological and chemical weapons and is on the way to having the atom bomb.
However, has anyone thought of the consequences should an American on British bomb achieve a direct hit on a nuclear, chemical or biological installation?
I envisage deadly disease, poison and a cloud of nuclear fall-out encircling the planet.
Also, why pick on Saddam alone? We know that Israel and North Korea already possess nuclear weapons and both of them is ruled by a leader every bit as nasty as the Iraqi leader.
Furthermore, what may the bosses of Libya, Syria, Iran and Zimbabwe be getting up to?
