James Bearcroft scored from a penalty and, within minutes, Brown was also converting from the spot, after a handling offence.
Bearcroft completed his hat-trick before half-time with two more fine strikes.
The second half was one of missed opportunity and robust defending, as Wanderers kept the score down to single figures.
