M BURCHER (You Say, September 6) is correct in observing that John Paul II puts much effort into trying to unite religions and nations. Global unity has always been the arm of the Vatican.
I would argue that the Bible prophecies a future one-world government and religion that will be a deceitful dictatorship.
The Roman Catholic Church has yet to give up its claim to be the only true church. It will not be long before the major faiths submit to the Pope.
On the political stage, the scene is already set for a global government with the United Nations, the World Bank and the formation of a European state.
This satanic religious and political system will achieve what Communism failed to achieve - global domination.
