MORE than 500 jobs are up for grabs in Worcester.
Seasonal jobs to help the major retailers through the busy Christmas period are on offer at some of the city's biggest employers.
Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, Beatties and Royal Mail are all looking for full and part-time workers.
A major jobs fair to recruit workers kicked off yesterday, in the CrownGate Shopping Centre, and will run until Saturday, September 28.
"We have a great selection of jobs, both full and part-time," said Jo Efstathiades, Worcester Job Centre manager.
"While a lot of the vacancies are limited to the festive season, some positions may lead to permanent employment."
Ms Efstathiades said the jobs had immediate starts, with day, evening and weekend shifts available.
"They would suit anyone, whether they are parents looking for part-time work or students looking to earn extra cash for Christmas.
"No previous experience is necessary and employers are looking for people who are willing to work flexible hours and don't mind late nights and weekends."
Job Centre staff and representatives from the Hereford and Worcester Learning and Skills Council will be on hand to give advice at the jobs fair, which runs from 10am to 4pm in Friary Walk.
