PLANS to create nine flats above a Kidderminster nightclub venue have been given the go-ahead - as long as the new apartments are sound-proof.
The scheme for second floor flats in Blackwell Street's Towers Buildings - home of the currently closed Time nightclub - has been approved by Wyre Forest district councillors.
But the council's planning (development control) committee ordered the owner must ensure the flats are soundproofed so nightclub noise is "inaudible".
A new lift tower and fire escape will also be created.
