BUSINESSES with bright ideas are being invited to apply for grants of up to £50,00 in the new round of Enterprise Awards run by the Home Grown Cereals Authority.
A previous recipient was Philip Lee-Woolf, of Clarence Court Ltd, Broadway, who collected awards totally £30,000 up to last year to help develop his business of producing speciality pastel coloured free-range eggs.
The scheme aims to provide funds to develop products and reach new markets with cereal-based goods, and this year £300,000 is available for innovative companies. Since they began over six years ago, the Enterprise Awards have helped more than 100 businesses using cereals in new and exciting ways for both food and industrial uses.
Initial applications need to be submitted by December 31 by visiting the HGCA website www.hgca.com/enterprise or calling 020 7520 3927.
