Littleton 6.

Cadbury Athletic Res 1

LITTLETON continued their improved form with a comprehensive defeat of opponents who were riding high in the league, with four wins in their first five games.

Littleton never gave them time to settle, and took the lead after eight minutes when Darren Reeves, some 20 yards out looked up and saw the keeper off his line and a clever lob left the keeper desperately back pedalling and could only push it into the net.

The margin was doubled in the 35th minute. Chris Bate fed Nicholas Burrows who drew the keeper before slipping the ball home.

Four minutes later it was 3-0 as an excellent pass from Burrows found Adie Wilde who scored after his first effort was blocked.

Littleton increased their lead in bizarre fashion with the first kick of the second half. Reeves noticing their keeper was at the edge of the box and, with the wind behind him, scored direct - his shot soaring over the keeper into the net.

For the next 15 minutes, Cadbury dominated and Littleton's defence was all at sea. Adam Moss was forced to make a super save to keep out Marcus Ricketts, but could do nothing to prevent Chri-stian Treacy scoring from close-range.

Littleton, however, were far from finished and a delightful chip from Reeves found Burrows who shot wide.

Littleton's fifth came in the 65th minute. A goal kick from Reynolds in Cadbury's goal was headed forward by Philip Haines into the path of Chris Bate whose pace took him clear and he shot past the onrushing keeper.

The same player wrapped up the scoring when, following good work by Burrows, he scored from close range.

Littleton are at home on Saturday to Leamington Hibernians.
