BADSEY United got among the goals in Saturday's opening fixtures in the Stratford Alliance.

Andy Rogers and Mino Vernaschi both netted twice in a 7-0 win at Bidford where a handful of visiting players got their names on the scoresheet.

Neighbours, Rangers, meanwhile, couldn't make it a village double as they crashed 3-1 at Campden Town.

Stratford Spartak and Sportsmans Arms both scored five times on their first division travels.

The former won 5-2 at FISSC Reserves, while Sportsmans were 5-1 winners at Tysoe. Steve Lockwood hit a hat-trick for Spartak.

Badsey United Reserves completed a profitable opening day for the club with a 3-2 defeat of Alcester Lions.

The same scoreline saw Dog and Pheasant flying high at the expense of Shipston Reserves in Division Two, while Henley Forest Reserves also scored three times in seeing off hosts Long Compton Rovers.

The other match in this section provided Alcester Cross Keys with maximum points after a 4-2 win over Bidford Reserves.
