I AGREE wholeheartedly with Canon Guy Smith's letter regarding recycling (Shuttle/Times & News website, September 5).

Recycling is also a way of life in the village I live in up-state New York. I cannot believe people are not already recycling in the Wyre Forest district. It is an environmental necessity.

Once a week here residents put out their four containers - one for paper, one for cans (always rinsed out!), one for plastic and one for garbage.

It is a real culture shock when I go back home and see that this is still not happening in Wyre Forest.
