MY husband is waiting for a triple heart by-pass at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
He was told he would not survive a second heart attack, so you can imagine my fear when he came home from work with severe chest pains.
I phoned for the ambulance but we live in a difficult place to find. However, the paramedics were there in no time, they were very efficient, and very reassuring.
They worked on my husband in the ambulance in the yard and told us it was like the hospital coming to us because they were linked up to it. They stabilised him before taking him to Worcester.
The specialist at the hospital said my husband was a very lucky man as he had suffered a massive heart attack.
He spent a week in hospital, where he received the very best treatment. Nothing was too much trouble.
I have only praise for Worcester hospital after all the horror stories.
I would like to thank the nurses and doctors on the cardiac ward, and especially the paramedics. They do a good job.
