A CARPENTER was attacked with a wooden stake at a house which was being renovated, Worcester Crown Court heard.
Vincent Verdi, 33, of Millgrove Court, Park Lane, and Leroy Stallard, 20, of Lyndhurst Drive, both Kidderminster, pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm.
They denied aggravated burglary at the house in Dog Lane, Bewdley, on June 21 and attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm on David Hughes, and both pleas were accepted by the prosecution.
Judge John Cavell adjourned the case for reports, remanding Verdi on bail and Stallard in custody.
