BOWLS: A unique match was held at Chester Road Bowling Club in Kidderminster to celebrate Founders Day and a century of bowls.
A mixture of two types of bowling - open green, and rink lawn bowls - was arranged to span the changing face of bowling over the century.
Ray Sheward and Eileen O'Hara were overall winners of the Norman Broadfield Cup.
Runners-up were Mike Bond and Pip Hatfield.
In the older, traditional, open green event - originally "crown green" - the Clement Andrews Cup was won by Maurice Curtis and Hatfield. Runners-up were Percy Salmon and Nonita Kitchen.
On Sunday, the Banks's Open Triples Competition brought nearly 100 keen bowlers from Worcestershire, Staffordshire and surrounding counties to compete throughout the day.
The eventual winners of the Banks's Trophy were Malcolm Thomas (skip), Len Atkins and Paul Kitchen from the home club.
The runners-up were from Broadway and the third-placed triples were Dean Hemmings (Worcester) along with Gilt Edge's Stuart McCaughtrie and Simon Allen.
Fourth place went to a triples team from Brintons comprising Neil Anderson (skip), Andrew Chilman and Jo Hurd.
