TWO Kidderminster girls have helped Worcestershire County Cricket Club U-15s to the coveted champions of England crown.
Talented Fern Bagley and Rachel Baldwin, who have both been earmarked as potential future stars for their country, now hope to retain the national indoor title with Worcestershire next weekend.
They played in a 56-run win over Essex which gave the county girls' U-15s the County Championship title.
Bagley, 14, opened the batting but was unlucky to be caught behind for three runs, while the pace bowling of 15-year-old Baldwin saw her claim 2-15 in six overs.
The King Charles I High School pupils are being groomed for the England U-19s squad as there are no internationals at U-15s level.
