THE owner of an animal haven in Blackwell which is facing closure is wishing on the stars to help her survive a cash flow crisis.
Linda Tudor and her animal loving supporters have written begging letters to former Beatles member Sir Paul McCartney and Birmingham's UB40 star Ali Campbell.
The 49-year-old cares for 300 pets and farm animals at Hillfields Animal Sanctuary, Greenhill, but they all could be destroyed if she cannot secure funding.
Linda is £50,000 in debt following a complicated court battle and her farm will be repossessed in October unless she can generate further funds.
"Unfortunately most of the animals here are old or disabled and I won't be able to rehome all of them. They will have to be destroyed," Linda said.
"We held an open day in August which bolstered our funds but that cash is needed to care for the animals during the winter.
"Some of my friends wrote to the stars asking for help because we are so close to losing everything.
"If we shut not only will the animals suffer, I also support the probation service and for the past ten years I have allowed offenders to come here to complete their community service." If you can help call 0121 445 3828.
