STIRRING performances of Beethoven's Choral Symphony will herald the start of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra's (CBSO) 2002-3 season at two concerts in October.
Many will remember Marc Minkowski from his previous performances of the Erioca with the CBSO two years ago, and he will be returning to the city to lead the ensemble.
As well as Symphony No 9, Beethoven's famous Violin Concerto is also on the bill for both concerts.
The first will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday, October 10, and the second at 7pm on Saturday, October 12. More information and tickets can be obtained on 0121 7803333 or at www.cbso.co.uk.
