THE prize winners at the Village Hall whist drive were: Hilda Archer, Nancy Devereux, June Marchant, Joan Palmer, Doreen Quiney, Sylvia White, Mary Russell, Gordon Bennett, Audrey Evans, Philip Timms, Ron Baxter, Ivor Drew, Betty Parsons, Malcolm Hartley. Next whist drive, Wednesday, September 11, 8pm start.
A race evening was held in the Pavilion at the Lower Lode Hotel on Saturday, August 31. The amount of £344 was raised towards funds for the Air Ambulance.
