REPTILE-lovers are invited to visit a Worcester pet store to learn more about the creatures and see a selection.
Specialists from the Reptile Trust, a reptile care and rescue service, will visit the Pets at Home superstore tomorrow and Sunday.
Advice, fact sheets and information on all aspects of caring for reptiles will be available.
"Reptile Trust offers free and impartial advice on the health and welfare of captive reptiles," said Peter Heathcote, from the voluntary organisation.
"With reptiles now the fastest-growing sector of the UK's pet industry, it's important to share our knowledge on what is actually involved in keeping reptiles as pets; many owners have a fairly limited knowledge on the subject.
"Reptiles are great pets that can give their owners years of enjoyment but, at Reptile Trust, we do see quite a number of sick and abandoned ones.
"We have to ensure that people have realistic expectations and know how to keep their pets safely and sensibly."
The event, at the Blackpole Retail Park store, is from 11am to 4pm.
Admission is free and visitors are asked not to bring their own pets.
