AN "old boys" association is celebrating the 70th year of its formation tomorrow and is hoping to meet more former pupils.

St John's Old Boys Association is marking 70 years of memories of Kidderminster school days at its Ladies Evening. It will be held at Holy Innocents Hall, Foley Park, Kidderminster, at 7.30pm.

Entertainment will be provided by Cum Sing Wi 'We and supper will be laid on.

Association spokesman Roy Bagnall said: "Although the school closed down 22 years ago there is still a strong feeling of fellowship and friendship among former pupils.

"One of its famous former members was Walter Nash who became prime minister of New Zealand.

"He made a return visit to the association in the 1930s."

Anyone who is interested in joining in the fun tomorrow can turn up on the night or telephone Mr Bagnall on 01562 753832 for further details.
