BROADWAY Golf Club's Alex Jeffrey Trophy was won by Coventry pair Mr and Mrs A Ward.
With the weather at its most benign and the course made for good scoring, a net 64 gave the Wards a clear victory by 4.5 points in the Open Mixed Foursomes Net Medal event played off half combined handicaps.
Visitors took the majority of the prizes on offer but Broadway husband and wife duo of Mr and Mrs G O'Hagan shot a gross 73 to secure the best gross prize.
Mrs L Carruthers from the host club finished second in the main event partnered by Mr P Carruthers from Penmaenmar, edging out Stratford pair Mr and Mrs B McDonald on a countback.
Earlier in the week and in similar excellent conditions, the ladies section staged its Mercia Castle Stableford competition.
Some outstanding scores were submitted resulting in a number of major handicap reductions in all three divisions.
