JEREMY Robinson will be hoping for a vast improvement in his play - and scoring - when the Omega European Masters gets under way at Crans-Sur-Sierre today.

The Evesham golfer never recovered from a dreadful start at the BMW Open in Munich last Thursday when he was four over par after nine holes.

"It was a shocking start," he honestly admitted. I don't know what happened after the way I had played the previous two events. I have never done very well there but that's no excuse."

Robinson finished up with a 77 in a low scoring tournament. The next day he carded a 73 but needed a miracle to make the cut.

"It was all over after nine holes of the second round," Robinson admitted. "I just hope it gets better this week. I finished 15th in the event last year and have made some decent finishes over the years."

Robinson, who lives adjacent to the Vale Golf and Country Club, is moving house later this month and will play out of Hartlebury.
