A FISH and chip shop in Bewdley is hoping to batter the opposition when it again bids for the title of best in the country.
Catchems End Fish Bar has been shortlisted in the top 10 across the Midlands and East Anglia - the category it won last year - by Seafish, the industry authority.
It is the only Wyre Forest chippie to feature on the list.
The regional winner will be announced during Seafood Week, October 4 -11, with the winner coming up against the best seven from other regions in the national final in London on November 13.
In the next two weeks Catchems End boss George Georgiou faces a visit by a "mystery customer" who will be checking the quality of the food and the staff.
