CHADDESLEY CORBETT GARDENERS' CLUB - Len Salt made a return visit in August to talk about climbing plants. He said how difficult clematis can be. Being unsure how to prune them properly, gardeners tend to "cut them down".
Members visited Barnsale Gardens, near Rutland Water, the legacy of Geoff Hamilton.
Prior to visiting the gardens, members spent an hour on the banks of the water watching the boats, wildfowl and wasps.
Elaine Horton, from Tin Penny Gardens, Gloucestershire, will talk about The Garden in September when she visits on September 11, to share her vast knowledge of plants with members.
Those attending are invited to take along plants and vegetables to the trade stand. Visitors will be welcome.
The meeting will begin at 7.30pm for coffee in the village hall, Chaddesley Corbett.
