CLEOBURY MORTIMER BRIDGE CLUB - After playing a Howell movement for several weeks, a Mitchell movement over six tables was played for a change.

Although the cards were shuffled and dealt at the start of the evening, most of the points ended up on the north-south side, leaving east-west to play in defence for most of the time.

Eddie and Connie Woof took first place on the east-west side with 61 per cent, followed by Charles and Vera Smith with 60 per cent, and Norman and Jo Hall with 54 per cent.

Gerald Link and Joy Humphreys came first in the north-south side with 58 per cent, ahead of Steve and Sally Clifton on 54 per cent, and John and Barbara Northfield with 53 per cent.

The winter season has now begun, at 7pm on a Tuesday evening.
