Worcester City were edged off top spot in the Dr Martens Premier Division last night following Tiverton Town's 2-1 victory over Bath City.

Though both sides are level on points and have the same goal difference, the Devon club have scored one more goal.

City, who had gone to the top with a 4-0 win over Moor Green on Monday, will hope to regain pole position and keep their unbeaten record when they travel to Folkestone Invicta on Saturday. Tamworth come to St George's Lane next Monday.

A James Smith double and goals from Andy Hipkins and Matt Inniss helped Worcester City beat Newport County 4-0 at St George's Lane last night in the first qualifying round of the FA Youth Cup.

City will now be at home to Devizes Town in the next round on Wednesday, September 18.

Pershore Town lost 4-0 at home to Mangotsfield United in the same competition last night.
