WYRE Forest Brintons were hit by work commitments, suspensions and holidays as a squad of 12 lost 3-1 at Hinton in West Midlands League Division One South.

The first half was fairly even with Richard Hughes' shot hitting the bar but keeper Darren Pace had to make a brilliant penalty save.

Pace denied John Williams after Lewis Clark had been penalised for a trip.

Williams made up for the miss by putting his side ahead from close range and Ross Semple added another after Hinton ran the visiting defence ragged.

Andy Oakes pulled one back for the visitors when his fine shot beat keeper Spencer and he also struck the bar with another effort.

But it was Hinton's day and Gough made sure with a third goal after poor defensive work by Forest.

Wyre Forest Brintons were missing key players and lacked experience in certain positions.

They have their first home match on Saturday against newcomers Ledbury Town Reserves and players should report to Brintons for 1.45pm.
