SWIMMING: Wyre Forest Swimming Club's Amy Smith showed more promise for the future after reaching two finals in the ASA National Age Group and Youth Championships.
Smith, one of the youngest at 15, was sixth in the youth 50m freestyle in 27.85 seconds at Sheffield.
The teenager also clocked one minute 1.03 seconds in the 100m contest.
In the 11-year age group, Iskra Lawrence swam 1-30.38 in the 100m breaststroke and 3-16.67 in the 200m.
Paul Ingenthron managed 2-51.23 in the 11-years 200m backstroke.
Meanwhile, two swimmers returned with three trophies from the City of Coventry Sprint Open meet.
Ross Morton won the U-12s 50m breaststroke in a Midland district qualifying time and finished third in the butterfly as well as recording a personal best in the butterfly.
Gemma Hutchings swam excellently for third in the 13 and 14 butterfly and did well in the freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke.
