CAPTAIN Scarlet, Lady Penelope, Parker and a Dalek have all found a new home at Bromyard's Teddy, Toy and TV Memorabilia Museum.

Curator Andrew Glazzard has matched the puppets with the original TV set surroundings as well as original merchandise from the 60s.

Many of the puppet bodies are originals used in the TV shows with casts of the original heads, such the Gerry Anderson "smiling Parker" figure.

"It was sold at auction for £46,000 and is now in Japan in a private collection, so the public can't see it," said Mr Glazzard.

"But I was able to take a resin copy of the head beforehand and there is no difference between that and the original."

Other television stars include a black Dalek who screams "Exterminate!" at the press of a button.

A Dad's Army display has also been set up with a collection of Second World War memorabilia alongside rare models of the original cast.

As well as the famous puppets, the museum plays host to a huge collection of teddy bears.

"This the centenary of the teddy bear and we have examples of some of the first teddy bears ever made," said Mr Glazzard.

The museum is situated in The Square, Bromyard.
