FAIRYTALES and fables proved to be a highlight for Worcestershire's youngsters as they enjoyed the last days of the summer holidays.
This week, at Nunnery Wood, near the Worcestershire Countryside Centre, there was storytelling in the woods.
It proved to be a hit earlier this summer, so the event was re-run.
"Many of our favourite fairy tales are set in the middle of woodland, so what better place for children to hear stories and fables than in the heart of one of Worcester's most beautiful woods," said Roy McClure, Project Greenspace officer at Worcester City Council.
"It's a great chance for children and adults to enjoy the outdoors and a collection of well-known and less well-known stories."
The tales were told by Mr McClure and the city council's arts development officer, Steve Quick.
