DEAR EDITOR - I have to smile at some of the comments from your readers, about the development in and around Droitwich Spa.

If the ordinary electorate thinks they have a chance of their opinions being adhered to they must be living in cloud cuckoo land.

Why we need just a few parking spaces outside an aircraft hangar-style supermarket I'll never know.

As for the Worcestershire Hotel fiasco, the owner must owe such an enormous amount of back rates the council should take possession of it and sell it off to the company who wanted to build a sport and leisure complex. Now that would be beneficial to all.

T S Edwards.
