RESIDENTS of an old folk's home are enjoying a higher standard of care thanks to a 30 per cent increase in staffing level.
The improvements at Brambles in Redditch come following a £20 million cash injection into 10 care homes across Worcestershire.
Additional staff have been recruited to ensure residents receive a consistently high level of care and to comply with the requirements of the Care Standards Act which came into force in April.
The last year has seen £2.5 million invested in demolishing and rebuilding the 60 bedroom Brambles Home which has become one of the first to built to comply with the new standards act.
