KINGSLEY College students have "more than deserved their excellent results", which included a 98 per cent pass rate and a 30 per cent improvement on last year's passes at grades A*-C.

A spokesman said the students, the last of the Leys High School cohort, had experienced 10 different building projects, staff changes and the opening of the new college.

Sixth formers were also delighted with their 89 per cent A-level pass rate which resulted in all of them gaining their chosen higher education places.

"Staff are particularly proud of these students who have coped with more change than any other group of students in the town.

"They also send their congratulations to those students at Bridley Moor, who have in many cases been taught by Kingsley staff and also have been through a very disruptive year of education," said the spokesman.
