BRITAIN'S longest established professional symphony orchestra - the Hall - will make its first visit to Malvern Theatres on Saturday, September 7.
It will perform two major works from the 19th century. Beethoven's Violin Concerto, with soloist Viviane Hagner, will be conducted by Baldur Bronniman, who will then direct Brahms's Symphony No 1.Weber's Overture Eury-anthe will also be included in the repertoire. Munich-born Viviane has previously performed with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orch-estra. Baldur became young conductor in residence of the Northern Sinfonia.
The Hall was founded by pianist and conductor, Charles Hall, and gave its first public performance in 1858. Following his death, the orchestra's development continued under figures such as Hans Richter and Sir John Barbirolli.
Tickets are available through the box office on 01684 569256.
