A CONSTRUCTION company is celebrating a record three months, having secured £20 million in orders since the start of April.
Thomas Vale Construction, of Stourport, is now on track to achieve a turnover of £60 million this year, with a current order book of £40 million.
Projects include a new £3.5 million teaching block at Cannock College, accommodation for Defence Estates worth £1.3 million, and a range of industrial and commercial schemes.
Housing-based schemes amount to more than £4 million, including a purpose-built care home in Bromsgrove.
Thomas Vale managing director Tony Hyde said much of the work was through long-term arrangements with repeat business clients.
"The whole Midlands, and in particular Birmingham, is very buoyant, hopefully for the foreseeable future. However, we are looking for sustained long-term growth of our business rather than boom/bust cycles."
He said the new contracts would create additional employment at the company's Stourport and Birmingham offices, in addition to providing work for around 250 local tradesmen and sub-contractors.
