ANGLERS from Stourport and Kidderminster each landed eight trout with an average weight of 1.25lb on the Andy Capp Pool but both used different baits.

J Calder, of Stourport, used a worm, while Griffin, of Kidderminster, preferred an elk hair sedge.

The best methods on the pool are maggots under a float of viva, imitation pellet and goldheads.

The best flies on the Wyre Dell are cats whisker and fry imitators but one angler used a buzzer to catch four trout to 2lb and another landed three trout to 2.5lb using a black leech.

On the coarse scene, the Erics yielded two catfish to 38lb and three carp to 16lb, falling to dead baits. Live baits were used to catch a 34lb catfish.

On the Stuarts, pellets were used by a Dudley angler to catch a 19lb 4oz carp and a 14lb 30z catfish, while it was live baits which lured two catfish to 20lb.

The fishery is open every day from 8am until 9pm and more details are available by calling 01299 861597.
